This policy explains what information Adir collects when you use our website and application, why we collect it, and how it is protected. We've written it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and password. Passwords and staff PINs are stored hashed; we cannot read them.
- Business records you enter — products, sales and invoices, customers, suppliers, staff details, shifts, and payroll records. This data belongs to your store.
- Sign-in records — when an account signs in we log the time, IP address, device and browser type, and approximate location (city / country) derived from the IP. We use this to secure accounts and show owners their login history.
- Location on clock-in (optional) — if a store enables location-verified shifts, we record coordinates at the moment a staff member starts a shift, to confirm they are at the store. If the feature is off or permission is denied, no location is recorded.
- Preferences — your language and theme choices, so the app opens the way you left it.
Camera and barcode scanning
Barcode scanning can use your device camera. The video is processed on your device only, to read the barcode number — no photos or video are uploaded or stored by Adir. The camera is only active while the scan window is open, and only after you grant permission.
Cookies and local storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against forgery (CSRF). The website stores your language choice in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
How we use information
We use the information above for exactly one purpose: operating Adir for you — signing you in, showing your store its own data, securing accounts, and helping you when something goes wrong. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your business records for anything except providing the service.
Your customers' data
When you record customer names, phone numbers, or purchase history in Adir, you are the controller of that data — Adir stores and processes it on your behalf, and only your store's authorized accounts can see it. It is your responsibility to collect it lawfully and honor your customers' requests about it.
Sharing
Your data lives on the servers of the hosting providers we use to run Adir, which process it only to host the service. Beyond that, we disclose information only if the law requires it. There are no other third parties.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your store account is active. When a store account is closed, its data is removed from our active systems. You can export your reports from within the app at any time while your account is active.
Security
Traffic to Adir is encrypted over HTTPS. Passwords and staff PINs are hashed. Access inside a store is limited by the roles and permissions its owner sets, and sensitive actions are recorded in the store's activity log. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your sales data the way we'd want ours treated.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its date. Meaningful changes will be announced inside the app.
